Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation technique. It's a specialized tool used to exfoliate dead skin and peach fuzz hairs. Dermaplaning will benefit the skin by increasing the absorption of topical products, immediately brighten, help smooth out skin texture and create a healthier, more radiant appearance.

The Dermaplanning Facial Protocol

1. Double Cleanse & Extractions

We will begin by thoroughly cleansing the skin with a series of cleansers best suited for your skin needs. Steam will be also be applied to allow for increased product absorption throughout the facial. Extractions will be performed as well.

2. Dermaplanning

A specialized surgical blade will be utilized throughout this part of the treatment to aid in the removal of unwanted hair and dead skin. We will make very gentle passes over the skin to reduce the risks of any nicks, cuts, or scrapes.

3. Hydration Mask

Next, we will apply a custom hydration/recovery mask to help address any remaining skin concerns or dry areas.

4. Moisturize & Protect

Once the treatment is completed, we will apply a series of suitable face moisturizers and serums to help replenish the skin's moisture barrier until the next facial appointment.

How many sessions are needed?

The Dermaplanning Facial is recommended to be done on a as needed basis, depending on your body's natural hair growth cycle. Contrary to popular belief, dermaplanning will not result in the facial hair growing back more thicker or coarser in nature. Dermaplanning is NOT recommended for those with highly blemished skin. Consider The Dermaplanning Facial as a "facial reset" to help aid in greater product absorption for your at home skin care products and a smoother makeup application process. Please note that this facial is considered a "precursor" to more potent treatments and will not solve any advanced hyperpigmentation, scarring, or acne.
